The coffee cream is too dark (delivered from the spout too slowly)

Press the coffee down less firmly
If the pre-ground coffee is pressed down too firmly onto the filter holder the brew might take a longer time, resulting in a dark coffee froth.
Pressing the pre-ground coffee less firmly allows for hot water to flow more easily through the coffee
